Does the legal status of a DAO affect its regulatory body?

If a DAO is not recognized as a legal entity or does not have a well-defined legal status under Polish law, it might face challenges when trying to register with a regulatory body or obtain a business license. The lack of a clear legal status could make it difficult for a DAO to comply with the applicable regulations and fulfill the necessary requirements for registration or licensing.

In cases where a DAO is involved in activities subject to regulation under Polish law, it may be
required to register with the relevant authorities, such as the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), or obtain a business license. However, the lack of legal recognition for the DAO could create uncertainties regarding its rights and responsibilities, as well as the obligations of its participants, making it difficult for the DAO to satisfy the registration or licensing requirements.
