How can a DAO handle the transfer or assignment of intellectual property rights within the organization?

The governance rules by vote may decide on questions of assignment of IP rights.

The transfer of NFTs, in as much as their involve IP rights, may be executed by a smart contract, with the authorization coming from a multisig wallet.

That said, while the decision/vote and/or smart contract exécution may be read on or off the

blockchain, the opposability of that transfer/assignment with regard to third parties and the scope of assginment should require a proper assginment deed and may also still require recordal on a Trademark or Patent registry, if the IP right is an industrial property right.
